Think of Airspace as a 'mothership' system
I.T. can track which servers are running what applications. They can push code updates, schedule maintenance, track error logs and the general healthiness of a system. Users can configure hardware using a schematic diagram - and spot any bottlenecks visually.
As the principle designer, I was there from the start.
This project was full of unconventional UX styles which challenged our existing pattern library. There were requirements  unlike anything else done at the company. 
I needed to establish a global, details-focused relationship with developers in India and product owners in New York. These were just a few of the challenges on this far-reaching application.
Matrix carried the styles that informed all the projects at Morgan Stanley. But patterns in Torch were tested, and often appeared elsewhere.
